What we process
- Technical request data needed to serve the site and keep it secure, such as IP address, request details, browser information, timestamps, and basic error or security logs.
- Admin account data used to protect the admin area, such as login email, password hash, role membership, authentication state, and related security events.
- Embedded video interactions on figure pages. Videos are loaded from YouTube via
youtube-nocookie.com; if you load or play a video, YouTube or Google may receive technical data and may set their own cookies.
Why we process it
We use this data to deliver the website, protect it against abuse, troubleshoot issues, authenticate authorised admins, and manage the catalog. Our main legal basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where relevant, we may also process data to take steps requested by an authorised admin user or to comply with legal obligations.
Cookies
DanceWiki uses only cookies that are necessary for security, session handling, login, and anti-forgery protection. The application does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Third-party cookies may still be set by YouTube if you use embedded videos.
Retention
Technical logs are kept only for as long as needed for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention under the hosting and logging setup in use. Admin account data is kept while an account is active and afterwards only as long as reasonably needed for security, backups, and record-keeping. Published catalog content is kept until it is edited or removed by the site operator.
